The Health Freedom Movement is Celebrating 20 Years Since the Signing of the International Declaration of Health Freedom in St. Paul, Minnesota

Woohoo!!  In 2006, health freedom organization leaders from around the world, including leaders from Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Italy, Chile, New Zealand, UK and USA, gathered in St. Paul, Minnesota and drafted and endorsed the International Declaration of Health Freedom. The Declaration was drafted in response to the challenges to health freedom at the time:  Medical Doctors providing alternative treatments were being investigated and shut down, traditional healers were being criminally charged with practice of medicine without a license and sent to prison, dangerous toxins such as mercury were allowed in dental products and drugs including vaccines, and as fluoride in public water facilities, and government was continuing to attempt to limit access to dietary supplements not just in the USA but around the world.  The Assembly debated one of the dietary supplement issues, and voted to oppose a USA national bill, the “Dietary Supplement and Non-Prescription Drug Consumer Protection Act,” commonly known as the “AER bill,” or the Adverse Events Reporting bill. It was opposed because the language of the act would accept any report without proof of harm. It was an exciting and momentous two-day event, building on the experience of many leaders from around the world and the experiences of leaders that had come before us.

Since that time, health freedom has undergone and weathered many new and profound challenges, including direct challenges to personal freedoms:

The freedom to decline government recommended vaccines with the repeal of state personal belief exemptions.

The right of bodily autonomy during the COVID-19 pandemic regarding vaccine, social distancing, and masking mandates; the right and ability to make individual health care decisions as one sees fit by using alternative treatments and having access to what one chooses for survival challenges.

The expansion of toxins in our food and environment including GMOs and agriculture chemicals, chemtrails in our skies, heavy loads of frequencies in our airwaves.

Many new resolutions and guiding lights have also been needed to address the new concerns as shown by the following resolutions passed by the 2022 US Health Freedom Congress:

  • Model State Legislation for Genetic Privacy

  • Vaccine Injury Liability

  • Endorsement of VAERS Project

  • Exposure to EMFs and Microwave Radiation

  • Model Language by Americans for Responsible Technology: Commission to Evaluate EMF Safety

  • Right to Refuse Model State Legislation

  • New Hampshire Bill: Commission on 5G Health Effects (NH HB522 2019)

  • Resolution presented to the Massachusetts Medical Society to address Wireless Safety

The United States Health Freedom Congress has gathered 13 times since 2003 to bring together United States health freedom leaders and pass resolutions impacting health freedom. In 2014, it endorsed the Principles of Health Freedom, along with five additional resolutions to protect health freedom.

This week, as we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence of our country in the USA, we are grateful to everyone working together to preserve our inherent right to health as we navigate an increasingly technical world that can, in many cases, negatively or positively impact our health. As we continue this journey of exploring and discovering, and sometimes even relearning the secrets to health, we remember that protection of our bodily autonomy, and access to health care options of our choice and health care information, is paramount to the individualized journey of healing and the right to survival.
