Pass a bill in your state to protect your health freedom
Autumn is the time to plan!

If you have been thinking about passing a bill to help protect your health freedoms, now is the time to plan! National Health Freedom Action (NHFA) can help you pass a law to protect access to unlicensed healthcare practitioners, protect both unlicensed and licensed practitioners wishing to use holistic healing, and help you keep yourself free from future vaccine mandates.
Does your state need a Safe Harbor law?
NHFA has long had a special commitment to supporting the passage of Safe Harbor Practitioner Exemption bills that protect access to complementary and alternative health care practitioners who do not hold state occupational licenses. If you do not currently live in one of the 11 Safe Harbor states and are either a practitioner who wishes protection or a consumer who wishes to have access to holistic health care, contact NHFA for support!
Protection for licensed practitioners
What about licensed health professionals? They are often confined by “standards of care,” which can preclude the use of a variety of alternative modalities and treatments. Our model bill, the Expanded Care Practice Act 2025 would allow the freedom to practice and use alternative healing services. If you are a licensed health professional, consumer, or concerned citizen and you want to get involved in your state, we would love to hear from you!
Right to Refuse medical mandates
NHFA supports the long-standing American freedom of the right to refuse medical interventions that do not have our consent. This basic constitutional right of bodily autonomy should protect us from medical mandates even during an emergency. NHFA recommends that states introduce and pass Right to Refuse laws that embody the following health freedom principles: (Click Here to Read the Full Right to Refuse Model Language). NHFA supports groups within a state that wish to pass these Right to Refuse laws.
Protect Your Health Freedom: Pass a Bill in Your State
To pass a health freedom bill in your state, we recommend beginning by contacting your state legislators and educating them about your expectations of freedom and your vision for a healthy America.
For those who wish to get more involved, NHFA attorneys and staff will support you and your group. Most bills that are introduced do not make it to a hearing. What can make the difference?
