Step up, Speak Out and Initiate change in Public Policy!

Every action has an opposite and equal reaction – a fundamental principle of physics.  So, since the government and our public health system initiated unprecedented restrictions on our health freedoms, we are now seeing in response amazing pushback from citizens, who are stepping up to speak out and initiate their own changes in public policy.

Take the recent No Forced Vaccines Rally at the Minnesota state capitol last week, hundreds of people turned out to coalesce around the issue of preserving Minnesota’s long-standing vaccine exemption policy.  Organized by the Vaccine Safety Council of Minnesota, MaskOffMN.org, and Stop the Mandate Minnesota, the event drew people to meet with their legislators to express the importance of retaining exemption rights of parents.  About a dozen legislators spoke at the rally, not only about retaining exemption rights, but also about proactive legislation many of them are introducing, such as removing the possibility of vaccine mandates and vaccine passports in the future.

Jerri Johnson, President and CoFounder of National Health Freedom Action (NHFA), our sister organization, addressed the attendees, telling about NHFA’s work with the RighttoRefuse.org website, where positive, proactive bills preserving bodily autonomy are posted.  This website displays the bill summaries and actual language of the 71 proactive bills that have already passed into law in 27 states, plus all new bills as they are introduced in 2023 across the country.  Many new bills have already been introduced in this new legislative session and many more will be coming soon.

Other speakers included Mark Bishofsky of Stop the Mandate Minnesota, Nicole Nejezchleba of Mask Off Minnesota, Twila Brase of Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom, and Dr. Scott Jensen, former state senator and candidate for Governor.  Dr. Jensen talked about the necessity of informed consent.  There must be consent for every medical procedure.  And there must be truthful information given on the risks and benefits.

Many organizations sent speakers, such as Sarah Copeland, of Minnesota Nurses for Informed Consent.  Invited speakers told personal stories of injuries from vaccines, including from the Covid 19 vaccine.  Susanna Newell told of React19.org, a website and organization with resources for people who suffered adverse effects from the Covid 19 vaccine.  Susanna emphasized that the issues facing us about vaccine choice are not Republican or Democratic.  They are not partisan.  Don’t think “Red” or “Blue”.  Think purple.  They affect us all, and we need to work together to create good public policies.
